If you don’t have a problem with growing your booty, avoid these pitfalls to any body part!!
I’ve been guilty of ALL of these things in the past.
Once I got learnt the correct approach and came to terms with it, things FINALLY started falling into place.
Can you relate to any of these? Let each one sink in and take a tally of where you’re currently at.
You can’t starve your way to a big booty. You must let go of your leanest self for a moment to get to where you want to be – your dream glutes are on the other side of discomfort, and you’re going to have to ensure a little more body fat for a while whilst you build up muscle tissue.
You think MORE is better and don’t allow time in between sessions to actually let your muscles adequately repair and GROW. Your body needs time to recharge in order to increase in size.
You do not need to change things us every few weeks to ‘confuse’ your muscles. Stick to the basics, master the moves, add more load / volume and repeat.
You don’t bring intensity to your training sessions, don’t time your rests, scroll on your phone and sometimes don’t even count the reps. It’s time to bring some intensity to your sessions.
Conditioning and walking is good for your heart health and mood. Some is good. More is not better. Circuit classes, HIIT training, hitting the stair master and walking 20,000 steps a day MIGHT benefit fat loss by assisting you with achieving an energy deficit, but it won’t grow your peach.
Your new booty gains take up weight. There’s no two ways about it. They also increase your metabolism by raising your BMR. Don’t let the number fool you into thinking you’re not making progress. What do you expect to happen with the scale?
Blaming your genetics won’t help your booty grow either. Stay in your lane. Keep your eyes on your own booty. Focus on what you can control and do the work.
Honestly, this shit takes years. Women have a limited about of testosterone which is why I grimace when women worry about ‘getting big’ from weight training. It’s biologically impossible to pack on muscle the way guys do (unless you’re planning on using illegal anabolics – a HUGE no no). Even 12 weeks of consistent training isn’t going to give you the ass of your dreams honey, but small improvements every month compound over time. You have to trust the process.
